Lessons
From A Bee
by Patti Orderica
Poway, California
It wasn't one of those
particularly bright, sunny mornings when you wake up and say, "What a
beautiful morning for a walk!" What! Just because it wasn't sunny
outside? What a wimp I was.
"This is the day the
Lord has made, let us them rejoice and be glad in it," I heard the
Spirit speak. So, I quickly put on my tennis shoes and headed out the door.
While I walk, I'm either
humming, talking with the Lord, or just admiring the Lord's beauty through
nature in flowers, birds, bugs, insects... INSECTS! Oh my, what's this
coming at me? A BEE!
Knowing that the best way
to get rid of them is just to leave them alone and not aggravate them, I
simply tried walking a little faster. But it kept buzzing around my head. It
suddenly dawned on me. I'm wearing a red sweatshirt. No wonder this bee was
so attracted to me. So, I started running. It kept coming. Finally, I
stopped and said, "Oh, go away you pesty, horrible, little bee!"
No sooner had I said those
words, the Holy Spirit gently but firmly spoke into my spirit and said,
"You can learn much from this little creature. Do not be hasty or
blinded to see the lessons they can teach."

LESSON # 1
They are up
early at daybreak, going from bloom to bloom, gathering what is needed for
the day.
Are you up first think in
the morning seeking God's face for your daily needs and provisions?
LESSON
# 2
They are
hard workers, persistent, not easily distracted, and definitely, not lazy.
Are you persistent and fervent
in prayer? Are you easily distracted by the cares of this world? Do you
sometimes become lazy for the things of God?
LESSON
# 3
They have
learned the importance of unity and harmony (one mind for one purpose). They
work side by side in unison.
Do you gossip, pre-judge or
even condemn your brothers and sisters in Christ? Do you encourage and stand
with others in the ministry?
|
LESSON
# 4
They realize
and acknowledge the food they produce is very precious, a necessity for
survival.
Do you really understand
that the Word of God is your manna -- your food for you life? Without it
daily, you die!
LESSON # 5
They are
servants and loyal to only one queen.
Do you truly understand
servanthood? Are you serving only one God, being loyal and trusting Him
only? Are you serving God with all your heart and soul? Do you practice the
art of servanthood to others daily -- in your home, work, and pleasure?
LESSON
# 6
They are an
army ready to lose their very lives when danger arises, for the sake of
preserving the hive.
Are you willing to lose
your life for Christ, so that others may live to hear the Salvation message
-- to give up those things that are important to you, so that others may
gain?
|
Again, the Holy Spirit
spoke, "You see! The Lord has created them for His Glory! For they are
full of wisdom and knowledge. Now go and apply these lessons to your daily
life." I returned home, rejoicing and thanking the Lord for His
beautiful illustration of the little bee and the need for spiritual growth
in my life. God is so Good!

WHAT
IS IN YOUR HAND?
by Hollie L. Moody
hlmoody61@aol.com
The Lord showed me a group
of people who were holding baskets in their hands. The baskets were filled
with gifts and different kinds of fruit. Each person was standing on what
appeared to be a chess board. They each appeared to have a particular spot
that was theirs. I then saw the Lord approach this group of people. It was
as if their eyes were blinded to His presence, for they seemed unaware
that He was there. The Lord began to reach into the baskets of these
people, and began one by one to remove the gifts and the fruits in each
person's basket. As the people gradually became aware that items were
being removed from their basket, they began to react in different ways.
Some of the people
appeared panicked, and tried to grasp their basket closer to their chest.
When this would occur, the Lord would then reach out, tug the basket from
the person's arms, and upend the contents of the basket onto the ground.
Other people at first resisted the Lord's efforts to remove the items from
their basket. The Lord spoke softly to them. At the soft sound of His
voice, these people immediately became still. Up until now they had
not been aware of His presence. They still seemed unable to see the Lord,
but now appeared to be aware of the fact that what was happening to them
was of the Lord. Still, even with this knowledge, many of these people
were weeping as the items were removed from their basket.
When all the baskets were
empty, there was a pause when it appeared that absolutely nothing was
happening. The Lord stood completely still. The people began to look at
each other questioningly, as if trying to figure out what was happening.
Nothing appeared to be happening. I then saw the Lord walk over to what
appeared to be a door. He now had an awl in His hand. When the Lord
reached the door, He softly began to call each person over to Him. Some
heard His voice calling to them; others did not. Those who heard the voice
of the Lord, walked over to where the Lord was standing. The Lord told
them to stand in front of the door. When they did, the Lord took the awl,
and pierced the person's ear with it.
When
the Lord did this, the person would jerk with pain. The Lord quietly spoke
to the person, and the person would immediately calm down. It still
appeared that no one could see the Lord. When the Lord was finished
piercing the ears of those who had heard His voice calling to them, the
Lord walked back over to the chess board. He turned and called the people
with pierced ears to come to Him. Hesitantly, they approached the chess
board. They each went back to their original place. With both hands, the
Lord took two corners of the chess board and shook it. All the people were
jostled from their places. Some of the people fell down. They were all
confused about what was happening. Then the Lord began to reach into the
jumbled mass of people. He would pick up one person, and place them in a
particular spot. Then, He would pick up another person, and place them on
a particular spot. He did this until all the people were placed on the
chess board, in a spot of the Lord's choosing. The
people were for the most part uncomfortable with their new and unfamiliar
spots. I heard the Lord speak to them. He said, "Go and do what I
have assigned you to do." There was silence for a time.
Then one person asked,
"What are we to do? We don't know what is expected of us anymore. We
don't know what we are supposed to be doing." "I have taken the
old from you," the Lord replied. "Your old ways of doing things,
your old ministries, I have removed from you. This is a time of newness
for many of you. I am placing many of you in new ministries, in new
surroundings. Do not try to cling to the past. Do not hold on fiercely to
your old ways, and to your old ministries. I will take them from you
regardless of how tightly you hold onto them. Even those of you who appear
to retain your same ministry, I will change things within it to
accommodate what is to be made new. Go and do what I have assigned you to
do, with what I have given unto you to accomplish this."
"How will we
accomplish what You ask of us?" the same person who had spoken before
now asked. "I have supplied each of you with the tools that you will
need to accomplish My will," the Lord replied. "But we have
nothing," another person said. "You have taken all from us that
we once had. What is left?" "Reach into your baskets," the
Lord replied. Each person reached into their basket and removed an item.
"I have given each of you what is in your hand," the Lord said.
"Use what is already in your hand to do what I ask you to do."
After having received this
vision, I asked the Lord the meaning of having pierced the people's ears.
I felt led to locate in the Word places where people's ears were pierced.
The passage that spoke to my heart is Exodus 21:2-6 ~~
"(2)
If thou buy a Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh
he shall go out free for nothing. (3) If he came in by himself, he shall
go out by himself: if he were married, then his wife shall go out with
him. (4) If his master have given him a wife, and she have born him sons
or daughters; the wife and her children shall be here master's, and he
shall go out by himself. (5) And if the servant shall plainly say, I love
my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free: (6) Then his
master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the
door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through
with an awl; and he shall serve him for ever."
I felt the Lord was asking
that we agree to enter in to a covenant with Him of perpetually serving
Him, and of living for Him. Entering into this type of covenant
relationship, will leave a definite mark upon us. As I further pondered
where the Lord asks us to use what is already in our hands to accomplish
His will, I was reminded of the passage of Scripture in Exodus 4 verse 2
~~ "And the Lord said unto him [Moses], What is
that in thine hand? And he said, A rod." The Lord sent Moses
against Pharaoh with the rod that was already in his hand. David fought
Goliath with what was in his hand [a sling and stones].
The
Lord is asking us to utilize what He has already placed within our hands
to accomplish His will and purpose through us. He is asking us to use what
is familiar to us. Because of its familiarity, perhaps we have felt led to
dismiss its effectiveness. While we may be searching for something
spectacular with which to do a work for the Lord, He is simply asking us
to use what we already have. During this time of change of plans and
ministries for many of us, let us attempt to see that it is the Lord's
hand orchestrating the changes. Instead of resisting the changes, and
opposing them, and seeking to hold on to our old plans and ministries,
let's try to open our eyes to the new way and new ministries the Lord may
be guiding us into. The Lord will place us wheresoever He desires, and use
us in whatsoever capacity we allow Him to. Let us bind ourselves so
completely unto the Lord (even as the servant in the Old Testament who
gave himself forever to his beloved master as his slave), that we will
obey completely and unquestioningly whatever the Lord requests of us.
In Him,

"Pierce
my ear, O Lord my God.
Take me to your door this day.
I will serve no other god.
Lord, I’m here to stay.
For you have paid the price for me.
With your blood you have ransomed me.
I will serve you eternally.
A free man I’ll never be."
THE
PARABLE OF HUNGRY BROTHER
by Chip Brogden
"If any will not work, neither shall they eat."
(II Thessalonians 3:10b)
The
brothers and sisters were all working in the field one morning.
Another brother, who had not stayed long with them, rose up suddenly
and said, "Why do we continue to work for the food which
perishes? We should spend our time in worship, and prayer, and
mediation, and let others do this menial labor while we attend to
spiritual things!"
The
wise teacher said to him, "Very well. You may return to
your hut and do as you have said." So the brother went back to
his hut and spent the day in prayer and study of the Scriptures. It
was now well into evening, and no
one had disturbed him at all. He began to wonder why no one had called
him to dinner.
Leaving
his hut he found the wise teacher. "Have you not served the
evening meal?" the brother asked. "Oh yes,"
replied the teacher, "we ate some time ago." The
brother asked, "Why then did you not call me to dinner?"
And the teacher replied, "Why should we call you to dinner? You
no longer labor for the food that perishes, for your meat and your
drink is to pray and study the Scriptures."
The
brother realized his hypocrisy and asked for forgiveness, after
which the teacher set food and drink before him, saying,
"It is written, 'If a
man will not work, he will not eat.' Therefore, the loftiest
spiritual service will never take away from the most mundane earthly
responsibility."

Frogs
by Mary Clark 7/4/00

Tonight
during intercession, the Lord spoke the word, "frogs" to me.
What did you want to tell us about frogs, Lord?
Exodus
8:1-4
Then the Lord said to Moses, Go to Pharaoh and say to him, Thus says
the Lord, Let My people go, that they may serve Me. And if you refuse
to let them go, behold, I will smite your entire land with frogs; And
the river shall swarm with frogs which shall go up and come into your
house, into your bedchamber and on your bed, and into the houses
of your servants and upon your people; and into your ovens, your
kneading bowls and your dough. And the frogs shall come up on you, and
on your people and your servants.
I
placed My servant Moses in a very strategic location. I knew
before he was born the road he would travel. I put My words in his
mouth and enabled him to proclaim My wishes. In these days, I am
raising up men and women who will walk a prepared path without
stumbling. I, by My Spirit, am raising up men and women to proclaim My
truth far and wide. The day will come when My chosen vessels will
repeat words of old to heads of state in My name. They will go forth
and pronounce My judgments on vast areas of the earth. Yes! I tell you
this night, that I am raising up men and women to speak on My behalf
and do mighty deeds on My behalf. Yes! I am calling them forth as I
speak to My servant. This is the generation that will walk undaunted
into the line of the enemy’s fire. This is the generation that will
seek the living God and His ways with a whole heart and will proclaim
His words to all in their hearing. I am calling forth at this hour a
generation of prophetic voices that will go forth unannounced into
areas that I have foreordained for their feet. They will speak My
judgments and they will see the results of their words proclaimed in
living color. They will see all that I give them to speak come forth,
and they will walk undaunted by the enemy’s plans. I am the living
God. I speak only truth. My chosen vessels will speak only My truth,
walk only in My truth, and see only My truth come to pass in their
wake. I am calling them forth. I am calling them forth and enabling
them to go forth in the power and strength of their Master. This is
the hour for the great calling forth. Listen for My call. Again I say,
listen for My call!!
THE
LORD IS MY STRENGTH
Deborah Voetberg
www.judges5.com
This
morning in prayer the Lord showed me a servant standing and strapping
a back pack on his back. The back pack was full of the strength of the
Lord. It was in the form of a solid, large bar. As the servant needed
strength, he would reach into the back and break off a piece of the
strength like a chocolate bar and eat what he felt was needed.
Then
I heard the Lord say, "This will not do." I then saw the
back pack melt into the back of the servant and the strength of the
Lord becoming his very core of being. I then heard the Lord say,
"This is what is needed. This is a more excellent way."
Let
us not lean on our own understanding, but comprehend that the fullness
of Christ lives within us. We are in Him and He is in us. We are one.
Allow Christ to arise within you in these days. We know not what is
needed for the day. But the Spirit that dwells within us will reveal
the things that have been freely given to us by God. He will lead and
guide us in all righteousness. It is no longer I, but Christ who lives
in me! Great Grace! |
God’s
Purpose or Mine?
Oswald Chambers, July 28
“He
made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other
side …” (Mark 6:45).
He
tend to think that if Jesus Christ compels us to do something and we
are obedient to Him, He will lead us to great success. We should
never have the thought that our dreams of success are God’s
purpose for us. In fact, His purpose may be exactly the opposite. We
have the idea that God is leading us toward a particular end or a
desired goal, but He is not. The question of whether or not we
arrive at a particular goal is of little importance, and reaching it
becomes merely an episode along the way. What we see as only the
process of reaching a particular end, God sees as the goal itself.
What
is my vision of God’s purpose for me? Whatever it may be, His
purpose is for me to depend on Him and on His power now.
If I can stay calm, faithful, and unconfused while in the middle of
the turmoil of life, the goal of the purpose of God is being
accomplished in me. God is not working toward a particular
finish—His purpose is the process itself. What He desires for me
is that I see “Him walking on the sea” with no shore, no
success, nor goal in sight, but simply having the absolute certainty
that everything is all right because I see “Him walking on the
sea” (6:49). It is the process, not the outcome, that is
glorifying to God.
God’s
training is for now, not later. His purpose is for this very minute,
not for sometime in the future. We have nothing to do with what will
follow our obedience, and we are wrong to concern ourselves with it.
What people call preparation, God sees as the goal itself.
God’s
purpose is to enable me to see that He can walk on the storms of my
life right now. If we have a further goal in mind, we are not paying
enough attention to the present time. However, if we realize that
moment-by-moment obedience is the goal, then each moment as it comes
is precious.
FOR
YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE AND THE POWER OF HIS BLOOD

A
DREAM
A few weeks ago the
Lord gave me a dream, as He often does, to reinforce a principle of
His concerning warfare. In this dream I was dressed in the clothes
of a servant girl and I was in my Father's castle cleaning the walls
and floors etc.... I was at peace and very happy being about my
Father's business. I began to hear voices coming from my left
taunting me and saying, "Who do you think you are, you are
nothing. For here you are doing the work of a lowly servant when
supposedly you walk in great authority and position." As their
taunts and criticism increased, I could hear coming from my right
the voice of my Father. He asked, "Do you know who you
are?" This conversation took place in our thoughts so that
those who were taunting me could not hear what was being said. I
answered in my spirit, "Yes. I'm your daughter, the daughter of
the Most High. This is Your house that I am tending to and I lack
nothing. For if I have any need all I am to do is ask and it will be
given unto to me. I understand where my inheritance lies." Then
in front of me a very large light green looming spirit arose and
began to taunt me and try to engage me in conversation. I knew in my
spirit not to acknowledge him by answering, but looked on the floor
to my right and there stood a bucket full of red blood. I picked up
the bucket and threw the contents at the demon. The result was not
only the demise of the demon but the blood continued through out the
castle that I was cleaning and was immediately cleansed and made
new. Then I awoke.
THE
INTERPRETATION
Many desire to walk
in the position of authority when it comes to our Fathers house, but
the role of the greatest is that of a servant. Jesus was the
greatest servant of all. As the days of darkness increase around us,
the Lord is looking for those who know who they are in His kingdom.
Will you be faithful to follow His path and serve where He calls you
to serve knowing that all that you do is for the cause of Christ and
the furthering of His kingdom. When the Lord starts to promote you
and bestow upon you more of His authority in His realm, many will
rise up against you because of the spirit of jealousy. Knowing who
you are in His kingdom and the power of His blood will stop every
accusation against you and will not prosper. For those very
accusation are meant to cast doubt upon your thoughts if entertained
and in the thoughts of others. Do not be fooled. Do not engage in
trying to defend your position in Christ but use the power of His
blood against every accusation. For what comes against those who God
has called to serve in His house and in His kingdom is an accusation
against the cause of Christ and the Lord Himself. For He and He
alone promotes and appoints those called by His name. Be of peace
and good cheer for your God is upon the throne of grace! And He
knows how to take care of those who belong to Him. During this
holiday season with so much activity and the rulers of darkness
trying to steal joy from the hearts of people, know intimately the
power that is in His blood and use it against every weapon formed to
challenge your stand in Christ! Be blessed in this glorious season
for there is a greater unction in the spirit to rejoice in the birth
of our Savior this year. As you dwell in the hope of your salvation
the Holy Spirit will strengthen you for all that lies ahead for the
coming year.
Demonstrated
in Servanthood
Paul
Keith & Wanda Davis with Bob Jones
January 29, 2002The
Lord Jesus introduced into the world a new concept of greatness. It
was to be found in humility and self-forgetting service. Even the Lord
Himself stated that He did not come into the world to be ministered
to... rather, He came into the world to minister to others and give
His life as a ransom for many. That should also be our motivation as
we strip ourselves of the selfish fleshly nature and put on this
attitude that was resident in Christ. Many
people in these last days will be given the gifts and power to
ambitiously extend their ministries
internationally and develop a great name for themselves. They will
also be given the choice to take those gifts and become a trustworthy
steward, even as the Lord was a servant to His disciples as
illustrated in the washing of their feet. Then, in that place of
willing submission, if our ministry touches the nations, it will only
be according to Him grace and provision. He
was the Highest authority on earth will all power in heaven and on
earth, yet He chose the path of humility and servanthood and
demonstrated this truth to His disciples by taking upon Himself the
most lowly of responsibilities... the washing of their feet.
 Anointing
by Teresa
Seputis
www.godspeak.orgChild,
you ask Me to anoint you, but you are looking for the anointing to precede
the commissioning and the calling. Child, don't you realize that I
anoint you in what you are already doing? I do not anoint you before
you have need of it, but when it is time to use than anointing in
the ministry I have given to you. You
look to this area and that area and you say, "Oh Lord, I wish I
had that anointing!" Child, look to the areas where I have
gifted you, where I have called you to serve Me, and to further My
kingdom. Do you no realize that is the area where the anointing will
come? I
supply what is needed to do the job I have called you to do. I do
not anoint you for another's work nor do I equip you for that which
I have not called you to do. Instead, start doing the work I have
commissioned you to and the anointing will be present for you. Be
faithful to serve Me in the areas where I have called you, and you
will see My anointing increase upon you. Have you not read where
Stephen was commissioned as deacon and then he was greatly anointed
with evangelism and signs and wonders? Have you not read where Peter
was already preaching the gospel before the healings began? Have you
not read where Paul was already on the mission field before he was
given the power and anointing to go with the message I put on his
lips?
Child,
I will back up My commission with My power. If you are doing with Me
what I am doing, you will see My anointing upon you. For I have
called you to be highly effective in me. I will teach you. I
will train you. I will raise you up and I will fully equip you for
that which I call you to.
The
Holy Spirit, Who resides within you, He is the anointing. It is not
an impersonal force that I impart. It is My presence moving through
you. The anointing is the person of the Holy Spirit. So, if you want
My anointing, then My Spirit must have control of you. The more you
give yourself to Me, the more I will give Myself to you and the more
the manifestation of My anointing in your life will increase.
